Welcome to the
Montpelier Writers Moot.
The Montpelier Writers Moot is a supportive, in-person environment for discussing written works-in-progress of any genre: fiction, non-fiction, poetry, screenplays, et cetera. Writers of all levels of experience are welcome.
The moot meets every month on third Wednesdays at the Center for Arts & Learning, 46 Barre Street, Montpelier, Vermont.

At each moot, we discuss two pieces of writing. Each piece has been submitted by a member at least one week previous to our gathering, so all attendees have time to read the work, consider it, and prepare their feedback.
Attendance at each moot is limited to 10 people.

The MWM is free to all participants. (A $2 donation per moot, to offset the cost of room rental, is appreciated.)
Our goal is to provide thoughtful discussion that will help the author see possibilities of how to shape, refine, or expand the work according to their stated goals for the piece.
